Summary of Specifications:
Oakland County Purchasing Division is requesting SEALED BIDS on behalf of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners to supply all labor, materials, incidentals, and means of work to print and deliver the 2009 Oakland County Board of Commissioners Annual Report as specified below:
Quantity: four hundred fifty thousand (450,000) – 2009 Oakland County Board of Commissioners Annual Report. Printing, processing and delivery to USPS (Design and layout will be done in-house).
Due to the current economic conditions and recent budget concerns, the Board of Commissioners is looking for cost saving measures to print and distribute the report. Vendors are encouraged to provide options and/or recommendations that could reduce the cost. Suggestions may include, but are not limited to a different size for the report, different weight and/or texture of the paper, offering 4 pages rather than 6, a different delivery system, etc. We are looking for creative ways of producing and delivering the report, which will result in savings to the County
The specification for the 2008 report was 6 pages, full color, folded and tabbed for mailing; mail merge, process, address, deliver to post office. The document is tri-folded and the folded size is 8 ½” x 11” with print on both sides.
Samples of 2008 Annual Report will be available in the Purchasing Division Office located at 2100 Pontiac Lake Road, Building 412 West, lower level, Waterford, MI 48328. The electronic version of the 2008 report is included in this solicitation as Attachment
The mailing list will be supplied through a separate bid.
Balance of reports that are not mailed will be shipped to the Oakland County Board of Commissioners office.
