004303 - 66 Inch Steel Sewer Pipe Rehabilitation

The project consists of rehabilitation of the existing 66-inch diameter steel sewer pipe that crosses the Clinton River immediately west of the Clinton River Water Resource Recovery Facility (CRWRRF). The crossing consists of three steel pipe spans above ground that are nominally 40 feet long and supported on piers, along with two short spans that connect the 40-foot spans to the 66-inch diameter reinforced concrete pipe upstream and downstream reaches of the sewer. The required work associated with this project includes:
• Preparation of site for construction.
• Construction of two access structures on the existing 66-inch diameter concrete sewer to the west and to the east of the 66-inch steel pipe crossing the Clinton River.
• Installation of a work platform and a bypass system to maintain the dry and wet weather flows during work.
• Concrete pier repair work as detailed in the design drawings.
• Removal and replacement of existing 66-inch steel sewer pipe as shown on the design drawings.
• Removal and abandonment of existing methane and sludge lines that run along the alignment of the sewer as detailed in the design drawings.
• Site restoration.
