Macomb County Public Works Office (MCPWO) has obtained congressionally directed funds through United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) via the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) for this project. NRCS requires environmental and cultural clearances before the onset of construction. The project scope includes, but is not limited to, improving flow conveyance by drain bank stabilization, sediment removal, log jam removals, etc. All work is within the drain and drain easement. This project is a county drain project and, per the Michigan Drian Code of 1956, is exempt from wetlands and floodplain requirements.
We are seeking proposals from qualified companies experienced with completing the NRCS form - CPA-52 Environmental Evaluation Worksheet form and obtaining Michigan Section 106 clearance from SHPO.
The consultant should prepare a desktop review that includes both above ground and archaeological resources, in compliance with MI SHPO requirements of the project area and the required area of potential effects (APE) and to provide assistance to complete of the SHPO application for submittal to the MI SHPO office for review.
The proposal should include all services and fees required for a full submittal. Provide an estimate of hours for additional investigations (excavations, etc.) should SHPO require additional efforts.
