CONSTRUCTION BIDS INVITATION TO BID ASBESTOS ABATEMENT at L’ANSE CREUSE HIGH SCHOOL - NORTH, L’ANSE CREUSE MIDDLE SCHOOL - NORTH & L’ANSE CREUSE HIGH SCHOOL The Board of Education of L’Anse Creuse Public Schools is accepting firm, sealed bids for all labor, materials, equipment and all other services to complete Asbestos Abatement at L’Anse Creuse High School - North, L’Anse Creuse Middle School - North and L’Anse Creuse High School for L’Anse Creuse Public Schools. A pre-bid walk through is scheduled for May 16, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at L’Anse Creuse High School - North, 23700 Twenty One Mile Road, Macomb, Michigan 48042. Meet in the Main Office. Your proposal marked “Asbestos Abatement at L’Anse Creuse High School - North, L’Anse Creuse Middle School - North & L’Anse Creuse High School” will be accepted during regular business hours at 36727 JEFFERSON AVENUE, HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MICHIGAN 48045, but must be HAND DELIVERED OR DELIVERED BY COURIER NO LATER THAN 9:00 AM MAY 24, 2012. BID PROPOSALS RECEIVED AFTER THIS TIME WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED OR ACCEPTED. IF MAILING YOUR PROPOSAL VIA THE POST OFFICE, SEND TO THE SAME ADDRESS. Oral, telephone, fax, or electronic mail bids are invalid and will not receive consideration. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter at the L’Anse Creuse Administration Building Board Room. No bids may be withdrawn for at least 60 days after the bids are opened. All bids must be submitted on the forms provided in the bid packet. All bidders must provide familial disclosure in compliance with MCL 380.1267 and attach this information to the bid proposal. The bid proposal will be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the L’Anse Creuse Public Schools Board, or the L’Anse Creuse Public Schools Superintendent. The District will not accept a bid proposal that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement. Proposals must include a bid bond or certified check made payable to L’Anse Creuse Public Schools for not less than 5% of the contract and must be submitted on the bid proposal form furnished with the specifications. All proposals will remain firm for a period of 60 days and provide performance/labor and material bonds upon award. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part, to award contract to other than the low bidder; to waive any irregularities and/or informalities; and in general to make awards in any manner deemed to be in the best interests of the owner.
