Isabella County is soliciting proposals from qualified professional services firms, with specific expertise in the design and management of County Jail Facilities. The Isabella County Jail and ICSO Construction project is proposed to be a jail facility that has a rated capacity of 232 beds and is expandable to a rated capacity of 286 beds by double bunking. The proposed jail facility will be a podular design with the flexibility to add an additional pod in the future.
Ideally, the successful firm will act in the best interest of the county while administering their services for the design phase as well as throughout the construction and closeout phases of the project. To ensure a successful project, the chosen firm will work with the County Staff, the Construction Manager, various consultants and construction contractors to safely delivery a quality facility that meets County objectives and design specifications.
A mandatory site visit and pre-proposal meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 24th, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 PM in Room 225 at the Isabella County Building, 200 N. Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858. This meeting will be the only opportunity for prospective proposers to ask questions regarding proposals.
