Summary of Specifications:
The primary goal of the project is to provide GLWA with the ability to isolate the 72-inch transmission main at the last master meter in service after the City of Flint and Genesee County cease to receive finished water from the GLWA. This date is estimated as July 1, 2017 and is not subject to the control of GLWA. The isolation shall be by means of the installation of a 72-inch temporary line stop, followed by installation of a permanent 66-inch diameter gate valve. The gate valve has been pre-purchased by GLWA and is available for inspection at the GLWA North Service Center.
