Summary of Specifications:
The City of Warren uses Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) and Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) funds to offer rehabilitation loans to low/moderate income owner occupants of single-family homes and to rehabilitate and sell single-family homes to eligible homebuyers. If the home to be rehabilitated was built before 1978, lead-based paint hazards must be addressed as part of the rehabilitation work. At this time, written bids to perform combination lead-based paint hazard risk assessment – lead-based paint inspections at approximately thirty(30) single-family homes in the City of Warren, Michigan are being accepted. It is anticipated that approximately 75%, or twenty-two (22) of the thirty (30) homes will need clearance examinations. Each clearance examination will be requested separately by the City.
