Summary of Specifications:
A. Furnish and install new roof system, tapered insulation, flashings, and miscellaneous materials on City of Warren Police Headquarters roof sections 3 and 4 B. Work includes: 1 Removal of roof membrane, insulation and lightweight concrete to structural concrete deck. Any ACM shall be handled as specified. All suspect decking will be reported to the owner’s representative and handled as they direct per the unit prices quoted in contract. 2 Install the specified 15-year EPDM roof system as directed in the specification documents. 3 Install flashing system at all walls, parapets, and roof penetration curbs. 4 Remove existing in-wall counter flashing. New reglet will be cut and counter flashings installed at all walls and penetrations where minimum 8-inch base flashings would cover existing reglet. 5 Install pre-fabricated, 24 gauge, pre-finished, Kynar 500 coping and/or gravel stop at all perimeters as detailed. 6 Remove all existing metal components and install new in accordance with SMACNA requirements in 24 gauge, Kynar coated aluminum with welded components. Fill any masonry voids to match existing. Provide oversized concrete splash block where applicable. All new metal must be pre-fabricated by roof membrane manufacturer and must meet new IBC standard. 7 Plumbing vents will be four (4) pound lead. 8 Replace existing drains with cast iron bowls and domes (if not existing). All drains will be sumped a minimum of eight (8) feet square from the drain centerline. 9 Coat all remaining roof top equipment. 10 All roof areas will be secured in a watertight condition each day before the contractor vacates the site. There will be no exception! 11 Unless otherwise noted, Contractor shall provide and pay for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, construction machinery, water, heat, utilities, transportation, and other facilities and services n necessary for proper execution and completion of the work as required by the Contract Documents. 12 Remove and re-install (re-certify) any and all lightning protection equipment affected by this project.
