Summary of Specifications:
1. Export all pages and related content from previous web site. This requires recreating the pages because the site is constructed using a proprietary CMS. The pages are in asp and there are about 100 Pages. 2. Redesign a new site (CMS) using the latest technologies such as AJAX, Flash, PHP, XML and design the site entirely using CSS. 3. Incorporate the new City theme 4. Must be easy to update for someone that has little web design experience. 5. CMS must be database driven using PHP/MYSQL. 6. Must have administration panel. 7. Must include technical support for work done as well as future upgrades, updates, troubleshooting and other web related issues. 8. Host site on a dedicated web server. Maintain Server 9. Search Engine Optimization 10. Some of the features for new site: * Simple but well constructed template and navigation system * Easy to update the Navigation * Flash news ticker using external XML file * Flash streaming videos and pod casts * Newsletter * Site Search * Site Map * Online Contact forms, registration, property info search, and GIS maps * Online application for various departments services * Fill able PDFs * Community bulletin board and calendar * Job search and application (subscription) * RSS feeds * Others to be determined at a later time All solution must be open source; no proprietary solutions will be considered. No technical support required after completion of project. When project is completed, the City of Warren will own all rights to web site.
