Summary of Specifications:
Sealed bid proposals for the PURCHASE AND PLANTING OF AN ESTIMATED 150 BARE ROOT STREET TREES AND THE PURCHASE AND PLANTING OF 50 BALLED AND BURLAP TREES will be received by the City of Troy at the office of the City Clerk, 500 W. Big Beaver Road, Troy, MI 48084 until Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 10:00 A.M., after which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Troy City Clerk’s Office. Bid responses are not accepted via fax transmission. ----------------------------------------------------------- A cashier’s check, certified check, or money order in the amount of $1,000.00 must accompany the bid to insure the bid. The two lowest unsuccessful bidders will have their bid surety returned after the bid award. BID BONDS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. Upon award to the successful bidder, the bid deposit will be retained as a performance surety until successful completion of all contract requirements. The surety will remain on deposit for a period of two (2) years or until all necessary tree replacements have been accepted. All other bidders will have their bid deposits returned after the bid has been opened at least 72 hours.
