IFB-RM-2019-07-05-001 - Northwest Park Monument and Fire 3 LED Sign

Scope of Work
The City of Taylor is accepting proposals from qualified contractors to construction for a new LED sign and Installation.
Install 3 sided monument sign at the Northwest Park with new LED. The sign shall have two LED color message center
facing west and east. The side facing south shall have aluminum letters with phrase to be determined and a planting area.
Install City of Taylor existing LED sign at Fire Station 3 and build new monument. Permit shall be pulled at the Building
Department for no cost. Full Engineered drawings are required before construction can begin.

Northwest Park
Monument
Monument shall be three sided with a planting area facing south. The monument shall be set back in accordance with City
code. LED boards shall be high enough to see over existing fencing along sidewalk. Stacked stone to be used shall be
capped with limestone cap. Please see monument mock up in Attachment 1. Please see attached diagrams for sizes.

Message Center
Dual sided LED signage shall be Daktronics GS6 15.8 Pitch (60 x 150 PX). Software shall be Venus Control Suite cloudware
that will work in the City of Taylor virtual network. Communication will be on the City’s Verizon data. Proposals
shall include in the following: product specifications on LED Boards, information on programming software, mockup of
signs with dimensions and mockup of night appearance on signs. An electrician must do all electrical work. Electrical
must be pulled from pool building to sign location on Van Born.

Fire Station 3
Monument
Monument shall be three sided with a planting area facing south. The monument shall be set back in accordance with City
code. LED boards shall be high enough to see over existing fencing along sidewalk. Brick work shall match existing Fire
Station exterior and capped with limestone cap.

Message Center
City has dual sided LED signage shall be Daktronics GS6 to match existing message center size (Approximate size 196”
wide by 45” tall). Software shall be Venus Control Suite cloud-ware that will work in the City of Taylor virtual network.
Communication will be on the City’s network. Proposal shall include transporting existing sign from city storage to
construction of base, all electrical from building and network wiring. Electrical shall have power for sign and two
additional plugs. Mockup of finish sign must be submitted.
