The City of Rochester Hills wishes to establish a contract with one or more qualified firms to provide fasteners for various City departments. Some of the fasteners will be purchased on an as needed basis while others will be stock items. The City is interested in entering into a contract for two (2) years. Pricing must be firm for the term of the contract. Background The City of Rochester Hills is requesting bids from qualified firms to provide fasteners for the City’s Department of Public Service Garage, Hydrant Department, Water Meter Department and Parks Department. During 2007, 2008 and 2009 the City made fastener purchases averaging approximately $2,800.00 for each year. Expenditures for the term of the blanket are not firm and will vary depending on each year’s budget. Scope of Work It is the objective of the City to select one or more reputable firms to provide fasteners for the City’s operating needs. The contractor shall supply and deliver “as-needed” fasteners required by the City of Rochester Hills’ Department of Public Service, Hydrant Department, Water Meter Department and Parks Department. Fasteners are primarily utilized by the City of Rochester Hills Department of Public Service for vehicle maintenance and for the repair and maintenance of base buildings and property; the Water Meter Division for the installation of water meter equipment.
