Dated January 28, 2015: The City of Rochester Hills is accepting proposals from qualified firms to provide spring and fall planting of selected street trees on public road right-of-way (or on City property) as specified by the City of Rochester Hills Department of Parks and Forestry. Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Rochester Hills at the Purchasing Division, 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48309 or through the MITN website until 3:00 P.M. Local time, WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2015, at which time and place the names of proposers will be read. The City of Rochester Hills officially distributes bid documents from the Purchasing Division or through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN). Copies of bid documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. Only those vendors who obtain bid documents from either the Purchasing Division or the MITN System are guaranteed access to receive addendum information, if such information is issued. SCOPE OF WORK The City of Rochester Hills (hereinafter referred to as “the City”) is soliciting proposals for the spring and fall planting of street trees for 2015, with the option to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year periods based upon a mutual agreement between the City and the service provider each year. The contractor will be notified by the City of its desire to extend the contract prior to January 1 preceding the renewal year. The purpose of this document is to ultimately select a professional firm to provide street tree planting services. With a view to obtaining the most acceptable services, these specifications cover the general requirements. Recommendations from proposers are encouraged and will be reviewed and evaluated based upon the best interests of the City.
