Summary of Specifications:
DATED JUNE 6, 2013: The City of Rochester Hills is accepting proposals from qualified and experienced vendors to provide Single and Tandem Axle Dump Trucks, Parts and Related Equipment/Services to satisfactorily support the City of Rochester Hills, City of Auburn Hills, City of Farmington Hills, City of Madison Heights, City of Midland, City of St. Clair Shores, City of Troy, and City of Warren.
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Rochester Hills, at the Purchasing Division/Fiscal Team, 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, MI 48309 until EXACTLY 3:00 p.m. local time, on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at which time and place the names of proposers will be publicly read aloud.
A pre-proposal conference for the purpose of reviewing the RFP and answering questions regarding the project will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the City of Rochester Hills, Department of Public Services Maintenance Building, 511 East Auburn Road, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48307.
The City of Rochester Hills (on behalf of themselves, City of Auburn Hills, City of Farmington Hills, City of Madison Heights, City of Midland, City of St. Clair Shores, City of Troy, and City of Warren, collectively known as the “City” or “Cities” or “Agencies”) is acting as the lead agency in the cooperative solicitation for the purchase of SINGLE AND TANDEM AXLE DUMP TRUCKS, PARTS, AND RELATED EQUIPMENT/SERVICES.
The initial purchases to be made from this solicitation by the communities identified and is anticipated to be made in the first 6-12 months of the agreement is nine (9) Single Axle Dump Trucks, and Sixteen (16) Tandem Axle Dump Trucks. In addition, the City of Rochester Hills is a member of the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) Cooperative. The MITN Cooperative unites over 100 government agencies from Michigan and actively works together on cooperative purchasing opportunities. The MITN cooperative is comprised mainly of City, Township, and County Agencies, but is also inclusive of airport authorities, libraries, schools, transportation agencies, etc. Any resulting contract from this solicitation will be actively promoted to MITN cooperative members and made available for use by MITN agencies if they elect to participate.
