Summary of Specifications:
The City of Rochester Hills is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to install a Sanitary Sewer Lead for 1544 W. Hamlin. Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Rochester Hills at the Fiscal/Purchasing Office, 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48309 or through MITN website until EXACTLY 3:00:00 P.M. Local Time, WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2016, at which time and place the names of proposers will be read.
The City of Rochester Hills officially distributes bid documents from the Purchasing Division or through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN). Copies of bid documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. Only those vendors who obtain bid documents from either the Purchasing Division or the MITN System are guaranteed access to receive addendum information, if such information is issued. The first step to do business with the City is to become a registered vendor by visiting the City website at www.rochesterhills.org, select City Services, Purchasing and Vendor Registration to link to the MITN website. Final proposal results will be posted on the MITN website after award.
Any deviation from the specifications must be noted on the proposal.

All proposals (5 copies) must be submitted in a Sealed Envelope marked “RFP – SANITARY SEWER LEAD INSTALLATION, 1544 W. HAMLIN” or submitted through the MITN website. BACKGROUND INFORMATION The City of Rochester Hills is a residential community in Oakland County, Michigan, and covers approximately 32 square miles of suburban community. Rochester Hills is located 30 miles north of Detroit. The City’s population is roughly 70,000. General information regarding the City of Rochester Hills is available at www.rochesterhills.org.
SCOPE OF WORK The City needs to have a 6” PVC Sch 40 sanitary sewer lead installed for 1544 W. Hamlin Road, located on the north side of Hamlin Road. The sanitary sewer lead needs to be extended to the north past the property line as shown on the attached plans. The open cut method is needed due to conflicts with existing utilities.
The City of Rochester Hills is accepting proposals from qualified contractors for the furnishing of all required materials, equipment, labor services and any other related services or equipment needed for the successful install a sanitary sewer lead for 1544 W. Hamlin Road. All work shall be performed in a professional, cost efficient and timely manner. The awarded contractor shall be responsible for the entire project including, but not limited to, coordination of all work and the outcome of the project.
