Summary of Specifications:
Sealed bids for 2009 AND 2010 READY MIX CONCRETE MATERIALS will be received by the City of Rochester Hills, Purchasing Division/Fiscal Team, at 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48309 or through the MITN website until 3:00 p.m. local time, Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at which time and place said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids shall be in conformance with the documents. The Bid Form must be completed entirely and submitted with the Bid. The bidder shall be required to meet the City’s insurance requirements and shall maintain such coverage until the project is complete. All bids shall be opened publicly and read aloud at the date and time specified. Each bid shall be recorded together with the name of the bidder. Bids shall be in accordance with the Purchasing Ordinance and the requirements of this notice in order to be deemed “responsive.” PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS The City is seeking bids for ready mix concrete materials for the years 2009 and 2010. The complete specifications for the Ready Mix Concrete Materials are enclosed for your review. The bid will be for a period of one year with one, one (1) year option to renew. The Contractor shall maintain their rates for all costs for a period of not less than one (1) year. If the rates change in the option year of the agreement, the Contractor shall provide the City thirty (30) days advanced written notice prior to any change. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any defect or irregularity in bids. The City reserves the right to accept any separate item in the bid; and to accept the bid that, in the opinion of the City, is to the best advantage and interest of the public we serve.
