Summary of Specifications:
The City of Rochester Hills wishes to obtain proposals from qualified contractor(s) to provide personnel, equipment, materials and expertise to assist the City with three (3) levels of service: Immediate (Contractor must respond within four hours of request), Prompt (Contractor must respond within 24 hours of request) and Scheduled (Contractor must respond within a scheduled time frame agreed upon between the City and the Contractor). Services may be in response to emergency situations or scheduled repairs on sanitary sewer, water main and storm drainage systems, including detention/retention basins/ponds and/or related work. The services may additionally include late night repair of a broken water main, scheduled repair of a leaking water main, reconstruction of a sanitary manhole, cleanout of a detention basin, replacement of a collapsed live sanitary sewer or removal of a blockage in a storm line. Sewer televising, cleaning and grouting may also be required. Services may increase or decrease in scope as agreed between the parties and as determined to be in the best interest of the City of Rochester Hills. The City will require a cost estimate for individual projects. Work on any project shall not commence without the authorization of the City of Rochester Hills. The awarded Contractor shall be accessible at all times directly by cellular telephone or pager. Constant communication shall be maintained by the Contractor during the course of all projects. The successful proposer will be awarded a one (1) to three (3) year contract. This contract may be extended for two (2) additional years, provided all terms and conditions remain in full force and effect. Prices for subsequent terms shall be defined in the cost proposal. Prices shall be firm for each contract term. The total period of this contract shall not exceed a maximum period of five (5) years.
