Dated June 23, 2014: The City of Rochester Hills is seeking proposals from experienced and qualified consultants to provide natural features stewardship program services. Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Rochester Hills at the Purchasing Division, 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, MI 48309 or through the MITN website until Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at EXACTLY 3:00 P.M. Local Time, at which time the name of submitting proposers will be publicly read.
The City of Rochester Hills officially distributes bid documents from the Purchasing Division or through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN). Copies of bid documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. Only those vendors who obtain bid documents from either the Purchasing Division or the MITN System are guaranteed access to receive addendum information, if such information is issued. The first step to do business with the City is to become a registered vendor by visiting the City website at www.rochesterhills.org, click on City Services, then Purchasing and Bid Opportunities and link to MITN website. Final proposal results will be posted on the MITN website after award.
OVERVIEW
The City of Rochester Hills wishes to engage an experienced professional firm(s) for the purpose of obtaining consulting services to assist the City with establishing a comprehensive natural features and green space stewardship program on an as-needed basis for various assignments including, but not limited to, all city owned green spaces and natural features including all Green Space purchases, undeveloped portions of parklands and other natural features or open space owned or controlled by the city. This would include significant (named) watercourses (Clinton River, Paint, Stony, Galloway and Sargent Creeks, or lakes (Carter Lake), etc). It would also cover any land under a conservation easement controlled by the City. Services will be administered on a per project basis and will be scheduled per the direction of the City of Rochester Hills’ designated representatives. The consultant will furnish all required labor, materials, supplies and travel required in connection with the project(s). The City expects that the project staff will include individuals with expertise in the appropriate fields of environmental consulting and technical report writing. The City reserves the right to select one or more firms to provide the required services. Firms do not have to provide all services to submit a proposal.
