Dated: April 4, 2013.The City of Rochester Hills is soliciting quotations from qualified professional contractors to provide and install a complete lightning protection system in compliance with the specifications and standards of the most current edition of the National Fire Protection Association Lightning Protection Code NFPA 780 and Underwriters Laboratories Lightning Protection Code 96A for the City the Stoney Creek Schoolhouse (at the Rochester Hills Van Hoosen Farm Complex), located at the corner of Tienken and Washington Roads, 1051 Washington Road, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48306. The Stoney Creek Schoolhouse was built in 1848 with an addition built in 1952. The Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, materials, supplies, necessary insurance, expertise, trades, supervision and competent, suitable and qualified personnel to perform the work required. If you are interested in providing a quotation, please fill in the following information. Quotations will be received by the Marilyn A. Paulsen-Tomaszewski, CPPB, Purchasing Analyst, City of Rochester Hills, Purchasing Division 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48309 via mail; or fax 248.608.8178; or scanned online via the MITN website no later than the due date of Monday, April 22, 2013 @ 5:00 p.m. A Voluntary Walk-Through will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 @ 12 noon at the Stoney Creek Schoolhouse (at the Rochester Hills Van Hoosen Farm Complex), located at the corner of Tienken and Washington Roads, 1051 Washington Road, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48306, for contractors to become familiar with the premises specified; the condition of the work and adjoining areas; to obtain measurements, provide a forum for questions/answers and the work to be performed according to the contract and specifications. There will not be another opportunity for vendors to visit the location. The deadline for questions will be at the conclusion of the Walk-Through. ATTENDANCE AT THE WALK-THROUGH IS NOT-MANDATORY IN ORDER TO SUBMIT A QUOTATION. Contractors not in attendance at the Walk-Through will be eligible to submit a quotation on this project. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to determine and provide all materials required and incorporate all such items in his/her cost quotation
