Summary of Specifications:
The City of Rochester Hills desires to hire an experienced and qualified Professional Environmental Consultant to prepare complete inventories and baseline assessments of the physical features of four (4) green space properties located within the City of Rochester Hills. The engagement includes the preparation of reports for each parcel including a “Floristic Quality Assessment,” in accordance with the “Floristic Quality Assessment,” developed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources – Natural Heritage Program dated October, 2001,. Attachment A. The City is the owner of the subject vacant parcels and has performed boundary surveys and Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments. The City also has available the 2005 Natural Features Inventory (NFI), GIS mapping including hydrology, contours and aerial photography (recent and historic). Documentation will be available to the awarded consultant. Inventories and assessments shall be performed by the selected consultant on an individual parcel basis. Each assessment shall include, but not limited to, assessing the type, quantity and quality of the flora located on the subject parcels, determine the natural significance of the flora to the green space parcel and its relationship to the general area. The Consultant shall include both early spring and year-round plants. Assessment information gathered shall be compiled into a report to be presented to the City.
