Summary of Specifications:
The City of Rochester Hills is soliciting quotations from qualified and experienced contractors to provide all labor and related equipment required for the installation of solid surface replacement countertops at two separate City buildings. The existing sinks and faucets shall be utilized. The work is to be done at the Rochester Hills Fire Department Station #1, Men’s’ Locker Room & Women’s Locker Room, 1111 Horizon Court, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48309; and Borden Park Restroom Facilities, 1100 East Hamlin, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48307. Only the person designated above is authorized to seek additional information from prospective firms regarding their Quotation. Correspondence or inquires made directly to firms regarding their Quotation from other persons are to be directed to the employee designated above for appropriate review and response. The City reserves the right to postpone the due date for its own convenience. There will be only one opportunity for contractors to visit the site and take initial measurements. Awarded contractor shall be granted access to the sites to take final measurements. A Walk-Through will be held on November 11, 2011@ 9:00 a.m. Contractors are to meet at Fire Department Headquarters – Station #1, 1111 Horizon Court, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48309 and then later travelling to Borden Park at 1100 East Hamlin, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48037. Because the Fire Department Headquarters is a secure facility, contractors are required to report in and provide identification when entering the building. The purpose of the Walk-Through will be to become familiar with the premises specified, the work to be performed according to the specifications, to measure the work area and to provide an opportunity for questions; the deadline for questions will be at the conclusion of the Walk-Through. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to obtain accurate measurements.
