Summary of Specifications:
The City has obtained a Federal Grant to fund sanitary sewer repair work within the Rouge Watershed area of the City. Section 11 of these Instructions to Bidders, and Appendix E were added to comply with the federal grant requirements. This project is broken down into two parts for internal accounting purposes, as follows. The scope of work for Part A - Rouge Grant includes lining of approximately 276 LFT of 8” sanitary sewer, 27 LFT of 8” stent lining, 6 LFT of 10” stent lining, 8 LFT of 15” stent lining, grouting 31 joints, and rehabilitation of 69 sanitary sewer manholes. Due to time constraints for the grant funding, the work for Part A of this project must be completed first. The scope of work for Part B - Add-On Work (Excluded from Rouge Grant) includes lining of approximately 951 LFT of 8" sanitary sewer, 36 LFT of 8" stent lining, 23 LFT of 10" stent lining, 10 LFT of 12" stent lining, 10 LFT of 15" stent lining, grouting 88 joints, and rehabilitation of 63 sanitary sewer manholes.
