The City of Rochester Hills is accepting proposals from qualified firms to provide a Hydraulic Valve Exerciser for use by the City’s Department of Public Services. Proposals will be received by the City of Rochester Hills, at the Purchasing Division/Fiscal Team, 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, MI 48309 until 3:00 p.m. local time, on TUESDAY, APRIL 28, 2009, at which time and place the names of proposers will be publicly read aloud. Background The Department of Public Services Water Division is responsible for providing municipal water supply to approximately 22,570 residential and business customers. The water supply system consists of over 425 miles of water main, over 4200 isolation valves, 4 master meter facilities and approximately 31,000 water meters. Scope of Work The City of Rochester Hills is requesting proposals for a hydraulic valve exerciser. The City’s main objective is to purchase the valve exerciser and computer controller and if budget allows will pursue the trailer. This equipment will be utilized by the Department of Public Services for locating and maintaining the City’s valves.
