Summary of Specifications:
The proposed project can generally be described as replacing three (3) existing sewage pumps, motors, pump drives and controls at the Grant Pump Station. The pumping station utilizes separate wet well and dry well compartments. The existing pumps are vertical, centrifugal, volute-type, single-suction, non-clog, dry pit pumps with electric motors.
The City’s intent for the project is to replace these pumps and motors in the dry well one at a time, while keeping the station operational. It is the City’s intent to replace the existing hydraulic pump drives with variable frequency drives, and modify the controls as necessary. During the mandatory site visit, firms can determine whether or not an additional control panel is required.
The City wishes to maintain identical pump station operation and alarm indication as currently provided at the station. No changes are proposed at this time to pump station functionality. Each pump is rotated as the lead, lag, and backup pump. This station is also connected to SCADA. Coordinate work and programming modifications with the City’s SCADA maintenance service contractor (Perceptive Controls). This work shall be performed while keeping the station operational.
