Dated, December 5, 2016: The City of Rochester Hills is accepting proposals from experienced and qualified firms to provide geotechnical engineering and construction material testing services. Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Rochester Hills at the Purchasing Division, 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, MI 48309 or through the MITN website until EXACTLY 3:00 P.M. Local Time, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2016 at which time the name of submitting proposers will be read.
The City of Rochester Hills officially distributes bid documents from the Purchasing Division or through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN). Copies of bid documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. Only those vendors who obtain bid documents from either the Purchasing Division or the MITN System are guaranteed access to receive addendum information, if such information is issued. The first step to do business with the City is to become a registered vendor by visiting the City website at www.rochesterhills.org, select City Services, Purchasing and Vendor Registration to link to the MITN website. Final proposal results will be posted on the MITN website after award.
THE CITY OF ROCHESTER HILLS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL PROPOSALS.

Overview
The City of Rochester Hills is accepting professional services for geotechnical engineering and construction material testing services for three (3) consecutive years (2017, 2018, 2019), with an option to renew for two (2) additional years (2020, 2021). Services will be administered on a per project basis and will be scheduled per the direction of City of Rochester Hills representatives.
The City is interested in a consultant that, at a minimum, has experience in the areas as described in the Scope of Work. Knowledge of the City’s codes and ordinances is beneficial. A twenty-four (24) hour response time on services is requested.
Background
The City of Rochester Hills comprises approximately 32.2 square miles and is located east of the I-75 corridor in the eastern portion of Oakland County, Michigan. The City is bordered to the south by the City of Troy; to the east by Shelby Township in Macomb County; to the north by Oakland Township; and, to the west by the City of Auburn Hills. Rochester Hills surrounds the City of Rochester on its northern, western, and southern boundaries.
The City of Rochester Hills is a residential community in Oakland County, Michigan, with a population of approximately 70,000. The community includes research, manufacturing and services employers as well as education and cultural institutions. It enjoys an excellent reputation in southeast Michigan for its proactive government and community planning, including ample provision for public parks and open space.
