Summary of Specifications:
The City of Rochester Hills is interested in obtaining proposals for the furnishing and installing exhaust extraction systems at four (4) City fire stations. The successful proposer shall provide all materials, equipment, and labor necessary and place in working operation a complete system to remove exhaust gases and particulate of operating vehicles within the facility. All necessary controls, motors, fittings, louvers, ductwork, blowers and all other equipment and materials are part of Contractor’s work. All work shall be performed in a professional, cost efficient and timely manner. The awarded contractor shall be responsible for the entire project including, but not limited to, coordination of all work and the outcome of the project. It is the City’s objective to obtain a reliable product to reduce/eliminate the exposure to diesel exhaust fumes within the four (4) fire stations, meeting the fire department’s needs for years to come. A MANDATORY pre-proposal/walk through meeting will be held on MONDAY, MARCH 12, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. starting at the Rochester Hills Fire Station #1, located at 1111 Horizon Court, Rochester Hills, Michigan (west off of Livernois Road, south of Avon Road) for contractors to familiarize themselves with the conditions of the buildings and adjoining areas and to obtain measurements. Three (3) additional fire stations within the City will be visited. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to determine and provide all materials required and incorporate all such items in their cost proposal.
