Summary of Specifications:
The City of Rochester Hills is soliciting proposals from qualified companies to establish a contract for Carpet Cleaning Services at various City owned buildings for a one (1) year period. The City reserves the right to exercise an option to renew for an additional one (1) year period. The Vendor shall provide all necessary equipment, materials, supplies, necessary insurance, supervision and competent, suitable and qualified personnel to perform the work required. The City’s current contract expires on December 31, 2009. Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Rochester Hills, at the Purchasing Division, 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48309, or submitted online through the MITN website until 3:00 p.m. local time, on December 18, 2009 at which time and place proposers’ names will be publicly read aloud. Faxed submittals and late submittals will not be accepted. The City prefers documents scanned and submitted online via the MITN website be in Adobe pdf format. A Voluntary meeting will be held to provide an opportunity to become familiar with the premises specified, to measure all carpeted areas, view the current condition of the surfaces to be cleaned and to become familiar with the work to be performed according to the contract and specifications; and will entail site visits of all necessary City locations on December 9, 2009 @ 10:00 a.m. commencing at the Purchasing Division at City of Rochester Hills Municipal Building, 1000 Rochester Hills, Rochester Hills, Michigan, Contractor is responsible for all measurements of carpeted areas when preparing this proposal. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to determine quantities of any special materials required and incorporate any such items in his/her cost. Questions are to be directed to Marilyn Paulsen-Tomaszewski, CPPB, Purchasing Analyst, in writing on December 9, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. at which time a response will be prepared and forwarded to all vendors as an amendment, or an addendum to the proposal, if such information would be of significance to uninformed proposers. Questions received after the date and time above will not be considered.
