RFP-RH-10-057 - CDBG Yard Services Program - Fall 2010 and Spring 2011

Summary of Specifications:
The City of Rochester Hills and Older Persons’ Commission requires YARD MAINTENANCE SERVICE FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDED YARD SERVICES PROGRAM – FALL 2010 AND SPRING 2011 for qualified residents 62 years of age and older and handicapped residents to the extent that CDBG funds are available. There will be a Fall 2010 Cleanup and a Spring 2011 Cleanup. Services include a one time leaf removal and disposal, lawn cutting, lawn trimming and removal of debris on walkways and driveways in established yard and lawn areas. Procedure will be as follows: A list of residents requiring this service will be made available to the contractor at the beginning of the contract from the Older Persons’ Commission located at 650 Letica Drive, Rochester, Michigan 48307. The awarded contractor will be contacted by the Older Persons Commission (OPC) when the majority of leaves have fallen in the Fall 2010 to proceed with the yard maintenance services. Contractor must complete all yard maintenance work within two (2) weeks of the notice to proceed from the Older Persons Commission. The timeline for completion of Spring 2011 yard maintenance will be coordinated with the Older Persons Commission and must be completed prior to May 1, 2011. Work shall be performed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Failure to perform in a timely manner may cause disqualification for consideration of future projects.
