Summary of Specifications:
The City of Rochester Hills and Older Persons’ Commission requires SNOW REMOVAL SERVICE FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDED YARD SERVICES PROGRAM – 2009-2010 WINTER SEASON for qualified residents 62 years of age and older and handicapped residents to the extent that CDBG funds are available. Proposals will be accepted for snow removal services during the 2009-2010 Winter Season for locations within the City of Rochester Hills. The method of snow removal may be shoveling, blowing, brooming or plowing. The areas to be cleared include the driveway from the garage to the street and access to home entrance, which may include sidewalks, porch, steps or walkways. The sizes of the driveways vary. The Contractor shall respond and commence snow removal operations upon the accumulation of two inches (2") of snow or greater on the ground. Snow removal shall commence after completion of snowfall event. In addition, the Contractor will be expected to clear driveway openings as conditions prevail. Snow removal shall be completed within 24 hours of completion of snow event. Work must be performed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., unless weather conditions require deviation from specified time frame.
