Summary of Specifications:
Sealed bids for AGGREGATES FOR 2009 AND 2010 – ASPHALT PAVING MATERIALS, 22A ROAD GRAVEL, 5G SLAG, 22X SLAG AND BITUMINOUS COLD PATCHING MATERIALS will be received by the City of Rochester Hills, Purchasing Division/Fiscal Team, at 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48309 until 3:00 p.m. local time, Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at which time and place said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids shall be in conformance with the documents. The Bid Form must be completed entirely and submitted with the Bid. The bidder shall be required to meet the City’s insurance requirements and shall maintain such coverage until the project is complete. All bids shall be opened publicly and read aloud at the date and time specified. Each bid shall be recorded together with the name of the bidder. Bids shall be in accordance with the Purchasing Ordinance and the requirements of this notice in order to be deemed “responsive.” PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS The City is seeking bids on AGGREGATES FOR 2009 AND 2010 – ASPHALT PAVING MATERIALS, 22A ROAD GRAVEL, 5G SLAG, 22X SLAG AND BITUMINOUS COLD PATCHING MATERIALS, BID FORMS A, B, C. The complete specifications for the AGGREGATES FOR 2009AND 2010 are enclosed for your review. The proposal will be to furnish aggregates for January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010. The bid will be for a period of two (2) years The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any defect or irregularity in bids. The City reserves the right to accept any separate item in the bid; and to accept the bid that, in the opinion of the City, is to the best advantage and interest of the public we serve.
