Summary of Specifications:
Part A-Local Streets Asphalt Rehabilitation: The typical existing road cross section consist of approximately 4 inches of HMA pavement with grass shoulders placed over existing subgrade. The rehabilitated pavement section will consist of 1.5 inches of HMA, 5E3 overlay after properly wedged and milled. Also, construction of ADA compliant pathway ramps at various major road intersection approaches. Part B-Fire Station #3, Parking Lot-The scope of work includes milling 1.5 inches of existing HMA pavement over the entire parking lot and replace with MDOT HMA, 5E3. As part of the milling and resurfacing, attempt to capture the low area near the sidewalk and convey to either CB#1 or CB#2. Full depth removal of the HMA pavement directly in front of the three overhead bay doors and replace with 9 inch reinforced concrete. Possible, 20 foot x 20 foot base repair area between CB#8 and MH#7. Repair 7 catch basins and install concrete "collar" around each catch basin per detail. Part C - Shadow Woods Speed Humps-The scope of work includes milling existing HMA pavement to accommodate HMA speed humps per City Standard Detail located in Appendix B; installation of Chevron pavement markings for speed humps, restoration; and other miscellaneous items of work.
