Summary of Specifications:
The City of Rochester Hills is soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to perform Snow Removal Services for the 2009-2010 Winter Season, including plowing and salting for parking lots, drive areas, sidewalks and steps; the City reserves the right to exercise an option to renew for the 2010-2011 Winter Season. The City reserves the right to split or abstract any or all proposals and award multiple contracts. Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Rochester Hills, at the Purchasing Division, 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, MI 48309 or submitted online through the MITN website until 3:00 p.m. local time, on July 21, 2009, at which time and place proposers’ names will be publicly read aloud. Late submittals will not be accepted. Faxed proposals will not be accepted. The City prefers documents scanned and submitted online via the MITN website be in Adobe pdf format. The Contractor shall be responsible for all area measurements of the parking lots and walkways in order to determine the cost for snow/ice removal and the amount of required salt. Because the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is a secure facility, Contractor’s are REQUIRED to report in and provide identification at the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, 750 Barclay Circle, Rochester Hills, Michigan BEFORE approaching the gate. Questions received after the date and time above will not be considered. Only the person designated above is authorized to seek additional information from prospective firms regarding their proposal. Correspondence or inquiries made directly to firms regarding their proposal from other persons are to be directed to the employee designated above for appropriate review and response.
