Description

The City of Port Huron; located at 100 McMorran Blvd. Port Huron, MI. 48060, is looking to upgrade the Datacenter SAN and host servers. It is the intent to replace all of the equipment with newer technology.

The equipment that is contained in this RFP is based on industry standards and is being used in other similar communities throughout Michigan. The equipment has been researched and found to meet the needs of the City of Port Huron.

The scope of work, main components and manufactures are specified in these documents.

2. SCOPE OF WORK

The following systems are intended to provide users of the systems the ability to centralize storage resources and connect to servers through the network. This allows for faster and more efficient access to data, which can streamline business operations.

Replace the SAN with Pure Storage following components:

Request for Proposals must be submitted prior to the time and date specified below, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bidder’s name and base Bid Proposal amount will be read aloud. Decisions will not be made at the bid opening; bids will be evaluated before presentation to the City Council.

Late proposals will not be accepted. Proposals shall be submitted as follows by the deadline indicated.
• One printed signed original
• One unbound printed copy
• One thumb drive consisting of only all files of the proposal

All proposals must be in a sealed package and contain the wording “City of Port Huron Datacenter SAN Upgrade” on the package. The wording “ORIGINAL” is to appear on the outside of the submission containing the original signed proposal.

If a bid bond or cashier’s check is required, an original copy of the bid bond must be submitted in the binder marked Original. Proposals may not be delivered via facsimile or email.
