The City of Pontiac is posting this Request for Qualifications (RFQu) for qualified firms to provide professional building and trade inspections, as well as detailed plan review services. These services are critical to ensure compliance with local codes, ordinances, and regulations while promoting safe and sustainable development within the community. The selected firm(s) will play a key role in supporting the city's planning and development efforts, ensuring high standards of quality and safety in all construction projects. The City of Pontiac, Michigan, is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide backup professional services for Building and Trade Inspections, including Plan Review. While the City will conduct these inspections and reviews primarily with its internal staff, we are looking to establish a reliable vendor for redundancy in cases of staff absences due to illness, vacation, or turnover. The selected firm will serve as an on-call resource to ensure continuity of service and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as applicable building codes and standards. This backup support will help maintain the City's commitment to safety, sustainability, and quality in the built environment of Pontiac. All inspectors are required to be certified by the state of Michigan in their certified trade.
