The City of Mt. Pleasant is seeking proposals for the electrical design services for the 2024 Town Center Project. The project includes demolition of the existing city parking lot 3 at the northwest corner of Main Street and Broadway Street in the City of Mt. Pleasant for the construction of a new parking lot, town center event space and restroom building (see also attached site concept drawing and grant application package).
The 2024 Town Center Project includes:
Removal of existing city parking lot 3. Consolidation of parking lots 3 and 10 into one large parking lot. Minor work in parking lot 10 to merge lots.
Removal of Mosher Street between Main Street and Broadway Street
The construction of new 92-space parking lot with additional green space community area created at the northwest corner of Main and Broadway
The addition of on-street parking and streetscape amenities to the west side of Main Street and the north side of Broadway Street (11 total parking spaces)
Installation of electrical for sound system, lighting, restroom building, 3 car charging stations, tree light receptacles, and other site amenities
Irrigation for all new trees and green space areas
The construction of a 1,200 sft restroom building
