The major items of work include the inspection, condition assessment, and documentation of gravity wastewater pipelines and manholes that are owned, operated, and maintained by the City of Midland. The assessment of the gravity wastewater pipelines shall include structural condition, hydraulic condition, and sedimentation level. Multiple technologies shall be used to ensure effective assessment, including closed-circuit televising, laser profiling, and sonar profiling. Assessment and inspection data shall be documented in accordance with bid specifications. The total system to be inspected and assessed includes approximately 203 miles (1,074,000 linear feet) of gravity wastewater pipelines. A variance in total length inspected and assessed of ±10% shall be tolerated for contract purposes. Asset type and approximate quantity is detailed in the following table:
