This contract consists of the installation of ADA compliant sidewalk ramps and sidewalk repair in various areas throughout the City. Each project area to be included in the initial bid quantities is included in this contract book. Subsequent work will be added by change order with similar information. Work will be added in areas, rather than individual locations only, to avoid multiple mobilizations by the contractor.
The intent is the City will use this contract for multiple years, up to five total years and anticipate a minimum of $200,000 of work to be completed each year.
The quantities included in this contract are to be considered miscellaneous quantities for use throughout the project. The quantities may or may not be used as part of the project, but will be used as needed.
The prices provided in this bid will be valid for a period of one year. At the time the contract is considered for extension at the end of each year, for up to a total of five years, the costs will be subject for review by the City. At that time, prices may be increased by up to the current consumer price index, if so requested by the contractor or at the discretion of the City. If in the best interest of the City, the City may choose to award the contract to one or multiple contractors.
