Description

Sealed proposals for VEHICLE ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE  will be received by the City of Jackson Purchasing Agent, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, 10th Floor, Jackson, Michigan, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2018 until 9:00:00 AM.
 
Each year the Jackson Police Department (JPD) leases four passenger vehicles to equip as marked police vehicles. The Jackson Police Department will provide all necessary components, and the bidding vendor will furnish all labor necessary to install the provided equipment.  It is the contractor’s responsibility to install all components to meet JPD guidelines and produce a vehicle suitable for patrol use.
 
The bidding contractor is also responsible for the removal of patrol equipment from vehicles that are out of service and slated for auction.  In addition the vendor will repair and maintain equipment installed within the current patrol fleet.  Equipment repairs include but are not limited to light bars/controls, sirens/controls, spotlights, wiring, and other miscellaneous electronic equipment.        
 
 
Bidders may obtain packets containing Instructions to Bidders, Proposal Forms, Specifications and Contract Forms from the city’s website at http://www.cityofjackson.org/rfq.
 
Prospective bidders are invited to attend a pre-bid meeting on MONDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2018  at 9:00:00 AM, JACKSON POLICE DEPARTMENT, 216 E. WASHINGTON, JACKSON, MI 49201.
