ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the Tyrone Wheatley Park Project (#20644.00) will be received, by the City of Inkster, until 2:00PM local time on a Bid Opening date of Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Any Bids received after said Bid Opening date and time will not be valid or opened and will be returned to the Bidder. The Project consists of installation of parking lots and associated storm sewer improvements. Playground structures and a pre-fabricated pavilion will also be constructed in the park. Restriping and upgrading the basketball courts, including replacement of the structure, along with baseball infield reconstruction. The Project also includes the installation of a prefabricated washroom building and associated utility connections. The project includes an alternate bid item for the work scope of the southern parking lot. This portion will be completed if funding is available. The project is funded via CMF Spark Grant with construction funding for approximately $850,000. Owner is expected to award project around this amount and reserves the right to value engineer the project after bidding to modify scope items accordingly. The project is funded through a CMF Spark Grant, through MDNR, and all relevant state and federal requirements apply and are included in the contract documents. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract on a unit price basis.
