Description

The City of East Lansing seeks proposals to provide Janitorial Services for:

East Lansing City Hall, 54B District Court and Police Department – 410 Abbot Road
405 Grove St Building (directly behind City Hall and housing Communications)
East Lansing Hannah Community Center – 819 Abbot Road
East Lansing Public Library – 950 Abbot Road
Department of Public Works Facility – 1800 E. State Road

Janitorial Services include all routine cleaning of public and private spaces in City facilities including but not limited to restrooms, offices, conference spaces, kitchens/kitchenettes, and specialty spaces such as public locker rooms, gymnasiums, fitness center/workout spaces, library/reference spaces, theater, and jails and courtrooms. Services to be provided include but are not limited to floor care (sweep, mop, vacuum, wax and carpet cleaning, etc.), trash and recycling removal, restroom care (lavatories, sinks, mirrors, partition, paper products, plunging toilets, etc.), dusting, limited window cleaning, touchpoints, and room set-ups.

A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 9 a.m. at East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road, to discuss the expected services in detail. An opportunity will be provided for proposers to tour each facility after the pre-proposal meeting on April 21 as noted below. These are the only times that the facilities will be available for viewing:
- East Lansing Hannah Community Center – 9:45 am
- East Lansing Public Library – 10:30 am
- Department of Public Works – 11:30 am
- East Lansing City Hall – 1:00 pm
- 405 Grove St.- 1:45 pm
