2025-10 - Zoning Ordinance Consulting Services

The City of Cadillac Community Development staff has completed a preliminary draft of a new zoning ordinance for the city. The current draft and the proposed zoning map can be found at the following link: https://www.cadillac-mi.net/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=904. The city is seeking a qualified consultant to conduct a peer review of the draft ordinance to ensure that the proposed language is consistent, provides clear guidance, meets the requirements of the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act (Act 110 of 2006), is consistent with recent court cases and aligns with the MEDC Redevelopment Ready Communities (RRC) checklist. As needed, the consultant shall recommend changes and additions to the draft to maintain compliance with the above and to address the inclusion of items identified by the consultant as essential to the city’s growth and development.
