The project will include installation of new storm sewer, new water main, and new full-depth pavement (w/ alternate bids for concrete or asphalt paving sections) on Redding Road, between Lakepark and Woodward, in the City of Birmingham. Approximate quantities are as follows: 1,450 feet of 12” to 30” main line storm sewer; two manufactured storm water treatment devices; 1,700 feet of 8” and 12” ductile iron water main; 240 feet of 8” HDPE water main installed by horizontal directional drilling method; 1,200 square feet of modular concrete block retaining wall; bridge superstructure patching and grouting; 3,600 square yards of new full-depth pavement/curb (integral curb with concrete pavement alternative; 18” wide concrete curb & gutter with asphalt pavement alternative); 800 square yards of concrete walk/drive approaches; plus other work to make a complete project.
