25-31 - Refrigerant Management with Small Businesses

The City of Ann Arbor is seeking qualified vendor(s) to assist small food retailers in significantly improving the efficiency of their refrigerant systems and reduce local greenhouse gas emissions. In particular, the City is looking for vendors with EPA Section 608 Technician certifications and capable of providing on-site refrigerant assessments. The vendor should have a critical eye towards working with small businesses to teach them how to identify leaks and help them understand sustainable refrigerant best practices. Interested bidders will also be expected to conduct trainings with local businesses on the proper handling of electronic leak detection equipment and provide recommendations to transition high GWP refrigerant systems to low GWP refrigerant systems.

The selected vendor will be required to work directly with the City’s project manager to manage workloads, workflow, and all other elements related to project implementation. The City anticipates making a single award under this contract. All awards shall be good for a period of two (2) years. All pricing provided by this RFP shall be firm for two (2) years.
