Summary of Specifications:
Bids will be received by Bay County at the office of Spicer Group, Inc. 230 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI, 48607, until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 28, 2014 for the construction of the Riverside Friendship Senior Center Kitchen Addition project of the following approximate quantities with appurtenances: • Interior finish & lighting renovations to approx. 3,400 S.F. of spaces within the Senior Center. • New commercial kitchen addition of approx. 5,300 S.F. to the existing Senior Center. • New receiving canopy for deliveries at the new kitchen. • Site work including paving and sidewalks at addition. Each proposal shall be accompanied by certified check or bidder's bond in the amount of 5% of the bid. Checks shall be drawn payable to Bay County as security for the acceptance of the Contract and subject to the conditions stated in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to waive an informality in any bid, to reject any or all bids, or accept any bid which is considered most favorable to the Owner. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 P.M. on the 6th day of August at 800 John F. Kennedy Drive, Bay City, MI 48706, Room 124. Representatives of OWNER and Professional will be present to discuss the Project. Bidders are required to attend and participate in the conference. Professional will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda as Professional considers necessary in response to questions arising during bid time. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective. Bidders not attending the pre-bid conference will not be allowed to bid on this project. Electronic copies of plans, proposal forms and specifications may be viewed on the bidding section of the Spicer Group, Inc. website at www.spicergroup.com. Use the bid form in the specifications for submittal of a sealed bid. All addendums will be posted to this website. The Bidder is responsible for ensuring all addendums have been received and acknowledged prior to submittal of the bid. No paper copies of these documents will be available for purchase.
