Summary of Specifications:
The Pasco County Board of County Commissioners is requesting qualifications from firms qualified and experienced in the development and preparation of parks and recreation master plans. Pasco County desires to develop a new ten-year, comprehensive Parks and Recreation System Master Plan (Plan) and is seeking professional consultant services to assist. The Plan will provide an introduction to include the mission, goals and objectives; a County demographic profile; an inventory of existing Pasco County Parks and Recreation Department facilities along with an inventory and assessment of all public and not for profit parks and facilities providing similar services in Pasco County; a needs assessment based on parks and recreation system standards, the Pasco County’s Comprehensive Plan “Level of Service” standards, and the State Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP); revenue and funding opportunities for both development and operations; and an implementation plan options/alternatives and recommendations all based on fiscal realities.
