Hernando County (hereinafter the “County”) is seeking a realtor/marketing agent for the sale of various sites within the County. Proposals are invited from interested Florida licensed real estate brokers to market and take offers on designated “Surplus Properties” on behalf of the County. This solicitation is competitive, designed to enable Hernando County to select the best offer from the realtor best suited to market and sell these properties. Selection will be made by the Board of Hernando County Commissioners (hereinafter referred to as “BOCC”), based upon a recommendation from the Professional Services Review Committee. Selection will be primarily based on the qualifications of the realtor to perform the services outlined below. The BOCC is prepared to enter into a listing agreement for six (6) months for the properties. After the six-month listing agreement has expired, the BOCC will review the marketing plan for the properties. The BOCC requires a fixed commission rate be bid, that the proposer be at least a licensed real estate broker within the State of Florida, be a member of the Hernando County Realtors Association, and have access to the “Multiple Listing Service” which is used by the Hernando County Realtors Association. The County will award one (1) Contract.
