Hernando County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting Vendor/Contractors that are active in milling and resurfacing existing asphalt roadways.

  • This project consists of milling and resurfacing existing asphalt roadways in Hernando County. The existing roadways shall be milled one (1) inch and repaved with a one (1) inch lift per plans and specifications. Millings shall be delivered to designated site located at Anderson Snow Park 1360 Anderson Snow Rd. Spring Hill, FL. 34609 located approximately 7.4 miles south of the construction site. Matching of existing driveways and side street aprons will be the responsibility of the Vendor/Contractor. Temporary pavement markings shall be installed after asphalt installation and be followed with thermoplastic markings on cured asphalt after County approval. Sodding, including watering of the road shoulders and swales, is required on all disturbed areas or as directed by the County.
  • The Vendor/Contractor must provide a Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan at the pre-construction meeting along with a chart showing the project schedule.
  • The Vendor/Contractor shall comply with all applicable OSHA workplace safety requirements and shall accomplish the work in a manner providing for the safety of their equipment and workers and for the safety of the general public.
