The City of Sarasota is soliciting bids for valve replacements in the following areas: 1) Cocoanut Avenue & 17th Street, 2) Bird Key Drive & Wild Turkey Lane, 3) Lemon Avenue & Blvd. of the Arts, 4) Cocoanut Avenue & 10th Street, 5) Siesta Drive & La Paloma Avenue, and 6) Tuttle Avenue & Floyd Street. Work generally includes, but is not limited to, removing & disposing of existing water pipes, valves, fittings, asphalt & concrete; cutting & abating AC pipe; connecting to exisitng water main; swab-disinfecting and installing valves, fittings & pipe; restoration of disturbed areas; asphalt milling & paving; and traffic control.
