SCOPE OF SERVICES
The Airport desires to use the professional services of a qualified Design Team in the performance of the following tasks for the Project:
a) A Design Team – led by a design firm acting as the Architect of Record – will be responsible for the design of the Passenger Terminal Expansion Project. The Project scope is anticipated to include the design of the following: expansion of the passenger security screening checkpoint, a new concourse (estimated at five gates), appropriate connections to the existing terminal building, (estimated) five passenger boarding bridges (PBB), any modifications to the air carrier apron/remain overnight apron that may be required, any modifications to the airfield drainage system that may be required. Additions or modifications to the baggage handling system (both inbound and outbound) are not anticipated as part of this project.
b) The Design Team will be responsible for the preparation and execution of appropriate design charrettes and other pre-design activities to identify design/décor/art elements that establish an appropriate sense of place.
c) The Design Team will develop drawings to 30% design, 60% design, 90% design, and 100% designs stages, with appropriate Airport and public input at various stages.
d) The Design Team will produce Bid Documents and support the bidding, pre-construction, and construction phases of the Project including but not limited to: support services during the bidding phase; special inspections, submittal review and approvals during the construction phase; construction administration, and support services during the commissioning phase.
e) While the intent of this submission is to advance a design that will begin construction promptly, the construction phase is dependent upon procurement of grants and other financing that is anticipated but not yet committed.
