2018-WSCU-RESLIF - 2018 Res Life Summer Painting Project

Western State Colorado University requires painting services for a large on-campus project involving several student housing facilities. The project primarily consists of painting 130 campus residential rooms and/or suites as well as hallways. Typical suites consist of 2-4 bedrooms plus ancillary rooms. Patching and re-texturing of damaged walls will be required in most suites. The project is broken up into phases starting in May and running through the end of August. Phases correspond to periods of availability of each facility or floor on each facility and are non-negotiable. See attached pages for phasing, facility name and dates. Room or suite names are enumerated for each facility as well as square footage and ceiling heights. All measurements and square foot numbers are estimates based on architectural plans and are provided as a courtesy for the purposes of understanding the scale of the work. Contractors are responsible for all final measurements and quantity takeoffs. A mandatory on-site walkthrough has been scheduled, at which time WSCU will arrange facility access for contractors to take measurements and assess the scope of work. The paint for all areas shall be estimated using the WSCU campus standard Sherwin Williams Aspen White interior latex paint, semi-gloss finish. WSCU Residential Life can provide housing for up to 10 persons for the duration of the project in campus residential facilities at a negotiated rate, if needed contact WSCU for more information. Successful painting contractors will need to coordinate their work in Moffat Hall and Ute Hall with flooring contractors working in those facilities during facilty periods of availability.
